Rain Anya is an actor / aerialist / dancer / singer / circus performer who holds a  degree in “Performance for Social Change.” Rain's beginnings in circus were in 2003 with the political circus company Wise Fool New Mexico, where she was a performer, instructor, and producer within the company.  Co-founder of the Paper Doll Militia, Rain continues to draw from her lifelong background in theatre and dance, and integrates circus arts with various other performance disciplines.  Recent full length Aerial Theatre credits include, BALD (San Francisco), Peter Pan (U.S. Tour of the original West End London Production), and This Twisted Tale. Rain studied aerial arts and physical theatre intensively at Circomedia- Center for Contemporary Circus and Physical Theatre, in Bristol, England. She also completed an extensive Professional Training Circus Program at the New England Center for Circus Arts under the instruction of Elsie Smith and Serenity Forchion, former Cirque de Soleil artists. Rain is an aerial arts instructor, having taught classes, workshops, and private lessons at The San Francisco Circus Center, Acrosports, Kinetic Arts Center, Trapeze Arts, The Athletic Playground, in the Bay Area, as well as many other facilities around the country and the world. www.ThePaperDollMilitia.com
